providing instruction as it relates to the mar-keting of apparel and accessories of all kinds. Units of study include: history of the fashion market and designers, market segmentation and consumer demographics, salesmanship, promotion, and visual merchandising. Com-petitive activities are provided for students to exercise skills and knowledge gained in the program through the co-curricular organiza-tion DECA. Students will also participate in a Fashion Show that they will produce and mar-ket. They can be involved behind the scenes (production) or be models in the show.

This is the second course in the Fashion Marketing curriculum. The course provides instruction for advanced careers in fashion marketing. The content includes skills related to the marketing functions, including employ-ment skills in marketing and career planning. Students will be encouraged to join DECA (Association of Marketing Students) and par-ticipate in a multitude of DECA community service and competitive activities. Students will provide leadership to underclassmen in the development and execution of a FASH-ION SHOW as well as other activities for the high school.
